FAMILYPLUS LOAN

The FamilyPlus Loan is available to all members, but is especially good if you have just joined CroydonPlus Credit Union and do not have a savings history.

To be considered for a FamilyPlus Loan, you must arrange an appointment with ourselves to transfer your Child Benefit to your CroydonPlus account. Should your loan be approved it will be processed upon receipt of the first Child Benefit payment.

Your loan repayment will be taken out of the Child Benefit first and any amount remaining after the loan repayment has been made can be used to start regular saving, some of which may be available for you to withdraw.

Unlike our Saver Loan (another frequent first time loan), the FamilyPlus Loan does not require a minimum saving per month.

APPLICATION CRITERIA AT A GLANCE

  • Membership Qualification: All members

  • Maximum Loan: £750

  • Interest rate: 34.5% APR

In order for your Loan application to be considered, you must have an active membership with us. If you aren't already a member, you will be able to register for membership whilst applying.

The easiest way to apply for a FamilyPlus Loan is to APPLY ONLINE.

As part of the loan review process all applicants will be required to provide a minimum of 2 months’ bank statements for all currently active Bank Accounts (including savings accounts). The statements must be in a PDF format and can be sent either via email to: loans@croydonplus.co.uk, Open Banking or uploaded to the Nivo app. You may be asked to provide further documentation should it be required.

IMPORTANT** If you have an existing loan product, which is up to date on repayments (not in default), you may be eligible to apply for an alternative loan product to better suit your needs.

Our expert team is dedicated to providing personalised guidance, ensuring that you understand all of your options and choose the one that best suits your situation. (Subject to our lending criteria, as well as eligibility and affordability checks.)
